Soon after Larry formed Larry Israel & Associates in early 2001 he created a monthly newsletter, to bring matters of interest to the attention of business owners and entrepreneurs, on issues relevant to business. Larry’s creation was not only as a marketing tool, but, essential information that assists readers and clients to be efficient and successful in the operation of a business. Larry loved to write, he loved satirical humor, he loved to fly, he loved to give advice, he loved reading the Wall Street Journal, he loved his law practice and most of all, he loved his readers. With that, we offer a couple of articles relevant to our current readers and then a special look back to the first edition of Business Law Update sent out from the desk of Larry Israel & Associates on November 5, 2001. Enjoy and thank you all again for the support.
Larry Israel, R.I.P.
We are deeply saddened to announce that Larry Israel passed away on the morning of February 24, 2019. After a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and most recently Lewy Body Dementia, Larry passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Many of you had the great fortune of sharing time with Larry both on a professional and personal level and were graced by his brilliance and the passion he had for his family and his work. I was honored and privileged that eight years ago this August, he trusted and respected his son-in-law to become his law partner. Israel & Samuels LLP was the vision of my beloved father-in-law and partner, and am thankful that I became part of his family when I met his daughter in 1994.
Larry created Business Briefs in 2001, known then as “Business Law Update”. He loved writing and this was an opportunity for him to reach you all in a way only Larry could. We submit this month’s Business Brief with a heavy heart (as it was written before Larry’s passing) and will dedicate next month’s issue of Business to Briefs to Larry.
